OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: Athens, Greece – June 10, 2013 - When Wild Focus, a non-profit Belgium organization working towards saving wolves, approached the South African musician and performance artist, Louise du Toit, with a proposal for her to be their artistic representative or "Godmother", she accepted it with vivid enthusiasm, realizing the great possibilities of supporting the well-being of wolves through such a special collaboration.
In her own words: "I am much honoured to have been invited by Wild Focus to represent them as their "Godmother". As predators, wolves are vitally important for a healthy Eco structure and they deserve our full support and defence. The Wild Focus team, with Annette Bruck as its president, is doing remarkable work towards the defence, protection and salvation of the wolves and wolf hybrids in Europe. I look forward to collaborating with Wild Focus and I am grateful for the opportunity to defend these magnificent animals through this great association.
I would like to quote Henry Beston, who said the following:"The animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren; they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth."
